What this means is that we offer counseling, guidance and assistance to people who need help with their housing situation. Southern Oregon Housing Resource Center. (SOHRC) is a "one-stop" clearinghouse for individuals and families to locate housing information products and service to help with housing related needs in both Jackson and Josephine Counties. ABC’s Of Homebuying is a state approved homeownership education curriculum, taught in both English and Spanish, providing information on the process of purchasing a home. Buyers Assistance Programs; assisting first time home purchasers to become "mortgage ready" through counseling, down payment programs and special mortgage products as available. Other counseling services include pre/post purchase information, foreclosure intervention, and loss mitigation. Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM); is a mortgage product available to persons age 62 and older who are considering how to use the established equity in their home as a way to supplement their personal income.
