No one should every go hungry. ACCESS is committed to addressing hunger needs within our community through different programs and services.

Food Pantry Network

ACCESS Food Share provides emergency food boxes to hungry families and individuals in Jackson County through a network of over 20 food pantries. The program also supplies food to over 20 agency programs serving low-income individuals.

ACCESS utilizes different programs to help provide food, including:

  • Fresh Alliance - The collection and distribution of meat, milk, dairy and other perishable products from community grocery stores.

  • Commodity Supplemental Food Program - A supplemental food program established by the USDA to serve low-income seniors in Jackson County. The monthly food boxes may contain cereal, non-fat dry milk, evaporated milk, juice, rice, pasta, peanut butter, dry beans, canned meat, canned fruit and vegetables.

  • ACCESS Food Share Gardens - These high productive community gardens help support the nutritional needs of local ACCESS food pantries and partner agencies. Gardens are operated by local community volunteers who plant, maintain and harvest the crops. In addition to learning gardening techniques, volunteers can enjoy some of the bountiful excess harvest.

Food Donations

ACCESS Food Share solicits, receives and distributes donated food from generous individuals, businesses and the Oregon Food Bank. These donated resources are often received from local food drives, grocery stores and gardens.

Plant-a-Row

Plant a row is rooted in the heartfelt tradition of gardeners sharing a bountiful harvest with others. Local gardeners grow a few extra rows of healthy produce in their home garden and donate it to local ACCESS food pantries and partner agencies to help feed the hungry.
